Hyde Park’s very own ode to the fabulous, fashionable, ‘joie de vivre’ spirit of Paris; Le Parc by tashas has launched a new must-try daily dining experience – the Plats du Jour. Sasha Basson, Head Chef of Tashas Group in South Africa, has designed a daily dish that encompasses freshness, flavour, comfort, and satisfaction for super easy any-time dining.
In Paris, the home of the “Plat du Jour”, these menus are deeply rooted in the city’s culinary culture and traditions for a number of reasons. Not only is Paris widely recognised as the culinary capital of the world, but the “Plat du Jour” has enabled chefs to showcase their creativity and the best of what the market has to offer on any given day.
“At tashas, we’ve always focussed on using the freshest ingredients and making each dish to order,” explains Sasha. “So, to be able to work even closer with our suppliers to select the best produce, meats, and seafood, which are then used to create the day’s special dish, has further strengthened our focus on freshness and seasonality.”
The Plats du Jour will offer one dish every day of the week and will change on a weekly basis. It will be offered alongside the existing menu and gives Le Parc visitors something new and exciting to try every day, for every meal.

“From roast chicken and beef bourguignon, to quiche, hot-smoked salmon and seabass; the team and I at Le Parc have really loved experimenting with recipes and ideas,” Sasha explains. “We have always been about generosity – our portions hearty, and everything is prepared fresh for each customer. Now, this is our way of making meal choices less of a challenge – everything is delicious, and we can’t wait for our guests to try the dishes.”
