Amidst the winter chill of Cape Town, The Pot Luck Club has transformed Sunday brunch into a gastronomic extravaganza with their Winter Edition, promising an unforgettable experience that warms both the heart and palate featuring a decadent multi-course menu, Bottomless Bubbles, and the city’s top-notch Bloody Mary. It’s the perfect way to hang out with friends’ fuss-free, and you can also eat lots of yummy food. Chic as hell, yummy food! Just pay your money, and the restaurant will do everything else.
Enjoy all this while bopping along to the smoothest live jazz. Who doesn’t want their oysters with a side of Miles Davis?
Executive Chef Jason Kosmas does brunch in its purest form. The venue boasts a modern industrial elegance with natural materials that bring a cosy touch. It’s a space where everyone can feel at ease and inspired regardless of their background. The menu? Top-notch brunch alongside as many of Boschendal’s finest Brut or Rosé Cap Classique flutes and Bloody Marys as you can handle. These words make us excited – and a bit nervous, too. Will you get a bit drunk? Probably. Will you feel really full from all the food? Maybe. Are you interested? Definitely!
It’s a formula copied across many cities, but this bunch do it properly. Brace yourself for ten courses of spectacular brunch food that will blow your mind; whether you’re omnivorous, vegetarian or pescatarian, they have you covered.
“It’s a really unique way to discover and enjoy the food of The Pot Luck Club, and it’s proven hugely popular. We find this format works so well, and we put a lot of effort into creating new plates, and tweaking old favourites,” says Chef Jason Kosmas. “We take our time to create each dish. Some happen quite organically; others take a lot of development work. But it’s always worth it in the end.”
They firmly believe that dining out should be a joyful occasion that fills hearts with happiness and contentment. Their goal is for every diner to leave with a memory that brings a smile to their face for years. The actual experience? Buckle up for a flavour rollercoaster! We’re diving into some serious yum territory with oysters that pack a tangy lemon punch, lobster like a fancy high-five from the ocean, and brioche that’s so boujee it’s practically doing a happy dance in your mouth. But hold onto your hats, we’re not done yet! There’s a curry lamb shank taco and an Arnold Bennett omelette that both deserve a shoutout. And the roast duck with bone marrow and elderflower extraction? Next level! Then we’re hitting dessert town with chocolate rum canelé and guava malva pudding that’s so good, you’ll be writing love letters to Chef Jason Kosmas.
So, if you’re up for a fancy food adventure without being fussy, this is your ticket to flavour paradise! What are you waiting for? Gather your foodie friends and book your table for the best Sunday Brunch in town.
