Cooking time: 15 minutes

Serves 4

  • 500g beef (sirloin) thinly sliced
  • ½ teaspoon salt & pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ½ onion, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic
  • 200g button mushrooms; sliced
  • 1 teaspoon corn flour
  • 250ml beef broth
  • 125ml natural Greek yogurt
  • parsley, for garnish

  1. Season the beef with salt & pepper.
  2. Add butter to a pan, and once melted add the beef. Cook until browned, making sure to avoid stirring it too much.
  3. Once the beef is cooked, set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add the onions. Cook until softened, then add the garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add the mushrooms and sauté.
  5. Add the corn flour and beef broth. Stir as you add the Greek yogurt and keep stirring and simmer until the sauce has thickened.
  6. Add the meat again and mix everything together. Garnish with parsley and serve over pasta or rice.
