Ingredients
- 1 kg white bread flour
- pinch of salt
- ¼ cup sugar (you can adjust according to your taste)
- ¼ cup oil
- 10g instant dry yeast
- 500 – 700ml lukewarm water
Method
- Mix flour, salt sugar and yeast in a bowl.
- Add oil to the flour mixture and mix with your fingers until a crumbly texture forms.
- Add water to the dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
- Knead for about 10 minutes on a floured surface. Once fully incorporated, put the dough back in the bowl and cover until it doubles in size.
- Knead again and form into 10 – 12 balls.
- Flatten the dough balls and dust with flour.
- Cook on the braai griddle on coals for about 5 – 10 minutes on each side.
For the filling
- half an avocado
- a handful of rocket leaves
- 2 eggs
- boerewors
- baked beans
- grated Gouda cheese
Spread smashed avocado on one side of the bread, add rocket salad, followed by soft scrambled egg. Add boerewors, topped with baked beans and a generous portion of grated cheese.
