  • 1 cup of canned chickpeas
  • 1 ½  tablespoons of tahini
  • 1 clove of garlic crushed
  • Juice of ½  lemon
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil 
  • A small handful of parsley
  • 2 or 2 mint leaves
  • ½ teaspoon crushed green chilli 
  • salt to taste


  1. Using a blender blend the chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt until smooth.
  2. Add the fresh parsley, mint, and green chilli and blend again until the herbs are finely chopped. Depending on the consistency you prefer, add in extra olive oil or water.
  3. Enjoy with flatbread, a side to kebabs or just as it is.
