Not all of us have the time or the inclination to bake, so here’s a hack to make your life simpler and easier. And the best part? It’s as delicious as if you had slaved away for hours. The secret is to use the best brioche you can find, preferably a day old.

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 650g brioche loaf
  • 125ml full-cream milk
  • 125ml evaporated milk
  • 125ml condensed milk
  • icing sugar mixed with ground cinnamon for dusting
  • whipped cream spray and fresh berries for garnishing

Method

  1. Cut the brioche loaf into 3cm-thick slices and lay them in a single layer in a serving dish.
  2. Mix all three types of milk in a small bowl until well combined, then pour over the brioche slices. Allow the milk to soak right through, forming a puddle on the bottom of the dish.
  3. Spray some whipped cream on top, dust with cinnamon icing sugar and garnish with fresh berries.

TOP TIP: If you can’t find brioche, you can use a store-bought vanilla sponge cake.
