The South African Olive Industry Association (SA Olive) extends its congratulations to De Rustica Estate for achieving the ABSOLUTE BEST award at the prestigious International Quality Awards for Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) – The EVOOLEUM Awards. The Gala took place on 16 January 2024 at Espacio Rastro Madrid. This gala is recognised as the ultimate international celebration of EVOO and attracts producers from around the world.
Spain’s Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food, Luis Planas personally congratulated De Rustica Estate as the top producer of EVOO in the world. This acknowledgement is a testament to the exceptional quality of South African EVOOs and their ability to stand out on the global stage. In a chart featuring 61 Spanish EVOOs in the TOP 100, De Rustica Estate’s Collection Coratina emerged as the winner, proving once again that South African EVOO quality is amongst the best globally.
