They are super easy to make, and the combination of flavours is out of this world. Shout out to Woolworths for their slider buns, which are the perfect size for these little guys. Paired with spicy mayonnaise, rainbow coleslaw, gherkins and cheddar cheese slices, you’ll be in slider heaven.

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 100ml buttermilk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ cup flour
  • ¼ cup Maizena/corn flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ tablespoon garlic pepper seasoning
  • ½ tablespoon brown sugar

For the sliders:

  • spicy mayonnaise
  • rainbow coleslaw
  • gherkins
  • cheddar cheese slices
  • micro herbs
  • battered onion rings

  1. In a bowl, mix your buttermilk, salt, pepper and paprika.
  2. Slice your chicken breasts horizontally and then vertically to make 4 pieces from 1 chicken breast.
  3. Add your chicken pieces to the buttermilk mixture, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  4. In another bowl, add your flour, Maizena/corn flour, baking powder, Cajun seasoning, oregano, garlic pepper seasoning, and brown sugar. Mix until well combined.
  5. After marinating for an hour, coat the chicken pieces in the flavourful flour mixture and fry until golden brown and crispy.
