Ingredients
- 1-1.5kg tripe, cleaned and chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic
- ½ green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 beef stock cube
- 1 tablespoon braai seasoning
- salt to taste
Method
- Clean and chop the tripe into bite size pieces.
- In a pot, add the tripe, onion, garlic, stock cube and water to cover.
- Cover and boil for an hour then add the chopped green pepper and the seasoning.
- Cook for another hour until the liquid is reduced, and the tripe is tender. Add salt if necessary.
- Serve hot
