The city’s food lovers are in for a treat. Time Out Market Cape Town, the cultural and culinary hotspot at the V&A Waterfront, has unveiled its brand-new summer menu, offering an irresistible lineup of dishes curated by Cape Town’s top chefs and restaurateurs.

The refreshed menu celebrates everything the city stands for — creativity, seasonality, and bold flavour.

A Fresh Taste of Summer

“Our chefs have outdone themselves heading into the 2025/2026 season,” says Russ Meyer, General Manager of Time Out Market Cape Town. “They’ve created dishes that capture the essence of summer while showcasing the best our city has to offer. From salads to sushi and flavourful curries, we’re confident our new menu additions are where the vibes are at.”

Expect a blend of heritage flavours, global influences, and a whole lot of Cape Town flair.

What’s on the Menu

Barakat brings comfort with a slow-braised carrot and pea bredie (available with lamb or as a vegan option), Cape Malay chicken curry, and aromatic fish frikkadel.

Una Más Taqueria serves up colourful summer dishes such as roasted artichokes and brussels sprouts, smoky street corn potato salad, and soft-shell tacos with smoked portobello mushrooms or southern fried chicken.

Sushiya keeps things cool with a zesty summer roll and tiger prawn hand roll, while Ramenhead introduces chilled ramen and sapporo-style tofu miso — perfect for warm-weather dining.

For meat lovers, De Vrije offers Die Moerse Morsige Burger — a show-stopping creation stacked with free-range beef and crispy onions. Carne complements this with lighter classics such as an avocado salad, half-grilled chicken, and creamy penne alfredo.

Over at Kapoochka, diners can explore Indian-inspired dishes with flair: masala chai crème brûlée, pistachio kulfi, tandoori king prawns, and a trio of biryani options.

NØSH fuses global flavours with its breakfast banh mi, Sabich breakfast sandwich, and Saigon sub. And for a sweet finale, Unframed Ice Cream serves indulgent brownie cups and pistachio white chocolate cookies — a perfect match for Cape Town’s long summer afternoons.

More Than a Meal

“The curated selection of food, drinks, and entertainment throughout the summer season is set to wow visitors and locals alike,” says Meyer. “We’ve worked hard to create dishes that showcase the best of Cape Town’s culinary scene.”

Alongside the new menu, guests can enjoy live music, interactive events, and summer pop-ups — all set against the Market’s buzzing backdrop.
