This exceptional collaboration is set to take place on 31 July 2025 at The LivingRoom, Summerhill Guest Estate, through Creative Coffee Events in partnership with FNB.
With just 10 seats per session, this ultra-intimate experience pairs two world-class artists: Richter, renowned for his sustainable fine dining, and Jasin, Indonesia’s 2024 World Barista Champion.
OMAKAFE: A Coffee Journey Like No Other
OMAKAFE is a playful twist on omakase, a Japanese tradition meaning “I’ll leave it up to you”. In this exclusive culinary showcase, guests surrender to the hands of the chef and barista as they unveil a curated tasting journey of seasonal flavours, precise techniques, and surprising pairings.
Expect masterful coffee presentations from Mikael and his assistant Georgius “Odi” Teja, the 2025 World Coffee in Good Spirits Champion. Their creations will be paired with innovative, South African-rooted dishes by Richter, bold, layered, and locally inspired.
