HONEY, CHILLI HALLOUMI STARTER

  • 80g halloumi
  • 10g sliced red chilli
  • 25ml honey
  • 5g chopped mint
  • oil, for frying

METHOD

  1. Drain the halloumi, pat dry with kitchen paper and slice into 1cm thick batons.
  2. Thinly slice the red chilli (prepare less if you’d prefer things milder).
  3. Roughly chop the mint.
  4. Heat a drizzle of oil in a large frying pan on medium heat. Once hot, fry the halloumi until golden, turning frequently, 4-5 mins.
  5. Remove the pan from the heat and add the honey, half the chilli and the mint.
  6. Stir until the halloumi is well coated.
  7. Add your sticky hot honey halloumi to a sharing dish. 
  8. Sprinkle over extra mint and chilli. Serve with crispy pizza triangles
  9. Enjoy!
